Office today

Please note the office will be unmanned from 1.15pm today. If you require to get in touch with us please do so this morning. Thank you!

Darker nights

Please encourage your children to wear bright clothing on the way to and from school. With the darker mornings and nights it is harder to see them if they are on foot. Better safe than sorry.

The dress rehearsal went well today. One more sleep until the real thing. Please could all pupils come to school with as little as possible tomorrow, i.e. if they don’t need their school bags then leave them at home. If snacks can be fitted into jacket pockets that would be great as the less they have with them the easier it will be for staff dismissing them from the Phipps hall after the show. Judging by today’s running time pupils should be ready for collection between 3.30- 3.45pm. Tomorrow’s show will be recorded and DVDs will be on sale soon for £3 each.

Wrap a Present Friday 14th December

We are very short of gifts for wrap a present. Please hand anything suitable in to the school office before Friday. Pupils will get a chance to go to buy a gift during school time. If your child would like to buy a gift please ensure they come with £1 on Friday morning.

Porridge update

All pupils from P1-P5 (unless they have had separate costume instructions which you will already be aware of) should wear black/dark trousers or leggings on Thursday. These do not need to be kept in school – please just send your child to school wearing then on Thursday. Please also remember to take tickets with you on Thursday for admission. Thank you! Two sleeps to go!

A huge thank you to everyone who ordered Christmas cards or gifts through school recently. This raise over £400 for school funds. Happy days!

Wednesday finish time

Our rehearsal this morning for Porridge went well, however it took slightly longer than we had thought. Pupils will be dismissed from school on Wednesday after our dress rehearsal- this is likely to be between 3.45-4pm – not 3.30pm as was previously stated. I hope this doesn’t cause too much inconvenience.

Doors open for Porridge

Doors will be open 30 minutes before the start of the shows. Doors open at 1.30pm for the dress rehearsal on Wednesday and the 2pm show on Thursday. Then doors will be open at 6pm for the 6.30pm show. Raffles will be on sale to raise money for the P7 trip to Lagganlia.
