Sophie Triathlete!

Sophie took part in the Culloden Triathlon at the weekend. She is 7 but she did it with lots of 8 year olds! She came first and she had to swim 2 lengths this time. Amazing!

Please check children’s school bags for newsletters. We have issued the first newsletter of the session on paper as we have not yet had the chance to update our emailing lists. Future newsletters will be emailed. Thank you!

After school clubs

After several phone calls and compromises ….Multi sports for P1-3 will take place on Mondays from 3.05-4.00pm and basketball will take place on Wednesdays from 3.30-4.45pm for P5-7. Both clubs will start at the beginning of September and letters with further information will be issued shortly.

House Captains

Calling all interested P7 pupils.  Any P7 pupil who would like to be considered for House or Deputy Captain this session needs to prepare a short speech at home which should last no more than 3 minutes.  These will be presented to the houses on Wednesday 29th August and voting will take place afterwards.  Good luck everyone!

Karate Tomorrow

A reminder that Karate starts back tomorrow after school.  Please read following letter from Dolina…

Dear Parent / Guardian

Are you looking for a new activity and sporting challenge for your child?

Karate Alba are now enrolling new students at Beauly After-School Karate Club.

Our After-School Karate Programme will offer children from P1 – P7 the opportunity to take up Karate within their school, and this programme will be a regular weekly fixture in Beauly Primary School.

Your child can train in an atmosphere that carefully balances fun, safety and effective martial arts training, with a student centric curriculum aimed at developing the maximum potential from each and every individual student. Whatever your desires are, we are confident that we have the skills, knowledge and capability to help your child reach their personal goals.

Our local talented Karate athletes get the opportunity to train on the Scottish Karate pathway for elite athletes and compete at National and International Competitions.

For those who want to be part of the Olympic adventure, the World Karate Federation has open pathways for every Karate athlete to find access to the chance of representing their nation at the Olympics Games.

Beauly Karate Club meets every Thursday in the School Hall from 3 – 4.30pm

Please contact Sensei Dolina Ross on 07907747748 to enrol your child in the club.

After school clubs

Multi sports will be starting at the beginning of September for P1-3 pupils only.

We are hopeful that basketball will start up again – I am currently in negotiations with Laura!

The Art Club will be running again on Wednesdays but will only be open to certain pupils for a few weeks at a time to allow more pupils to have the chance to attend.

A cross country club is also in the pipeline but details need to be confirmed.

Please keep your eyes peeled for further information!

Welcome back!

All the teachers are looking forward to seeing the pupils this morning. We are excited to welcome our new P1 children. P1 will stay for lunch today and should be picked up from the front playground of school at 12.45pm.
