More MacGruer Triathlon Success

A huge well done to Sophie who also won her section at the Nairn Junior Triathlon at the weekend. What a fabulous weekend of achievement for the family…..I am just waiting on Sophie and Jamie’s Mum and Dad to arrive in my office with medals and certificates now to complete the family celebrations! Well done team MacGruer!

Parents are invited to join their children for a picnic lunch on the field from 12.30pm- 1.15pm tomorrow (weather permitting). Parents should bring a picnic lunch and a rug to sit on! It is unlikely that the P7 pupils will return in time for this as they have an event at Charleston in the morning.

If you are interested in a breakfast club being run next session please return your survey by Friday at the latest. There needs to be a minimum of 10 pupils each day attending to make this sustainable.

Please note that there will be NO homework club running this Thursday or next Thursday after school due to other school events.

Thank you!

Class photos

The new proofs have arrived and will be issued to pupils today. Parents can order EITHER photograph. Please could we ask that orders are returned by Thursday this week so we can hopefully get the photos delivered before the holidays. If they don’t arrive in time they will be issued the first week back. Thank you and apologies in advance if they don’t arrive in time.

Watering over Summer

We are desperate for a few volunteers to water our school garden over the summer holidays. At the moment we have only had 2 forms returned and we have 7 weeks to fill. If you can help out either fill out the form or contact the school office. Even if you can just help out once it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Beauly Display

Our hall is looking great with our new Beauly display ….please remember to come and see it on Thursday at our Summer Fete. Here is a sneak preview of part of it ….

Mod Success

Lexie, Iona and Oisin at the Inverness Provincial MOD on Friday.
They sang with their choir Rionnagan Rois in 2 competitions- achieving 1st place in both. Oisin also sang in a solo competition – achieving 1st place. Huge well done to them and everyone else involved too!

Busy week ahead!

Good luck to the P7s who are off to Charleston on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday morning. A reminder that (weather permitting) parents are invited to come and join us on Wednesday to have a picnic lunch with their children – parents should bring their own lunch and picnic rug! The canteen will provide a picnic lunch for all children who have paid for a school lunch. A decision on whether the picnic will go ahead will be taken on Wednesday morning. Thursday is our Summer Fete so lots of activities to take part in. The gala queen will be getting crowned at 1.30pm to start the Fete off. Please remember to hand in any filled jars or raffle prizes to the office as soon as possible. Entries for the bake off should be handed in on Thursday morning. Busy busy times….the P1s have their trip on Thursday too! Eeek!!

P1 Parents August 2018

A reminder that Mrs Cullen has invited the parents of new Primary One pupils for August 2018 to come to school tomorrow between 2pm and 3pm. Mrs Cullen will chat about P1 and how parents can help get their children organised for their big day. This will be held in the P1 classroom.
