Science Week

Lots of exciting learning happening around school today. From bug hunts to making lava lamps…. Beauly Primary is a hive of activity!

Inter School Sports

Sadly it looks like we will be unable to enter a team in the annual inter school sports event which is held on Saturday 26th May at the Bught Park in Inverness. We do not have sufficient numbers of P6 and especially P7 pupils to make up a team. If we are entering our application needs to be in by Thursday. If you have a P7 or P6 child who would like to take part in the event please ensure they speak to Paula or Jane tomorrow at the latest.

Science Week

I hope you all have a lovely long weekend so you are all relaxed and raring to go for Science Week next week. We have lots happening with visits from Glasgow Science Centre, Aigas, Charleston Academy teachers and we even have some brave parents coming in to talk to the classes about their science related work. It promises to be a week full of fun and learning. Miss Surgeoner is asking if anyone has any empty 2 litre plastic juice bottles that you take them in to her for an activity she has planned. An exciting week ahead!

No Art Club this week

Please note due to staff training there will be NO Art Club this week. It will be on as usual next Wednesday. Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Menu changes

The cooks have informed us that there a couple of changes to the menu this term.

On 16th May and 13th June the vegetable chow mein will be replaced with falafel burgers.

On 23rd May the vegetable fajitas will be replaced by quiche.

The annual picnic lunch will be on 20th June.

Dress down day

Well done everyone for the great effort at wearing school uniform – the last two spot checks had results of 100% and 98%. Great job! I look forward to seeing you all in the clothes of your choice tomorrow.
