Problem solving
Whole class problem solving for P7 in outdoor learning.
Author visit
Primary 7 were delighted to welcome Alan Durant, the author of Clownfish, to school today. They enjoyed hearing about his writing career, listened to him read some of his stories and took part in a question and answer session. Alan also worked with the pupils on a short creative writing activity before kindly signing copies of his 100th book for the children. Thank you for visiting our school, Alan!
Lagganlia-a gentle reminder
Time is ticking away and the trip to Lagganlia in June will soon be here. This is a gentle reminder that payment in full needs to be made very shortly after the Easter holidays.

P7 Politics
P7 have been enjoying learning about the Scottish Parliament. We have found out about MSPs, manifestos and elections. We have made up our own political parties, written our own manifestos and election speeches and this afternoon we held a mock election in the class. Here we are giving our speeches and casting our votes.
Clownfish
P7 have been enjoying reading the book ‘Clownfish’ this term with visiting reader, Edel. She has also been kind enough to organise a free-of-charge visit from Alan Durant, the author, for this Thursday. Any P7 wishing to buy their copy of the book at the reduced price of £2 so that they can have Alan sign their book should bring the money to school before Thursday’s reading session.
DYW talk from Dr Renaud
As part of their learning on Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) P7 enjoyed an interesting and informative talk from Dr Jenny Renaud from Aird Medical Practice. The pupils heard about the path Dr Renaud took in order to become a GP and then enjoyed asking her lots of thoughtful questions. We may have a few of the world’s future GPs in our class.
Starting as we mean to go on.
The new Primary 7 class on their first ‘Daily 10’ this afternoon.
P7 Charleston HWB day
Please remember that P7 will be going to Charleston again tomorrow, leaving from BPS at 9.10am.
Visitors to P7
Thank you to Jack’s Mum for bringing 5 very cute bunnies to see us in P7. One nearly ended up coming home with me…!
