We are really looking forward to our own superstars preforming at Beaulys got talent on Friday evening at the Phipps Hall at 6:30 pm.
Prior to this event we will be having rehearsals on Thursday the 26th and Friday the 27th during school hours.
Therefore we would ask that all participants bring with them any props, costumes and music they may need.
We’re sure you will join us in wishing all the participants the best of luck when performing on the night and we hope to see you all there.
P7 took part in a fantastic session run by Gavin and George from the Beauly fire station. The pupils learned basic life saving skills such as how to put someone in the recovery position and how to do basic CPR. They then enjoyed dressing up in the fire fighting kit.
Primary 7 worked brilliantly in groups to complete their World Book Day stories about Bertie the Beauly Bear. They enjoyed sharing them with Primary 1 this morning. Stories from all the classes are now on display in the Library.
P7 enjoyed the first of three Gaelic lessons this morning. Games and songs were played and sung and the names of numbers and actions were learnt.
The Eco group would like to thank all the pupils who participated in the waste free packed lunch week. All the pupils who took part will recieve a certificate.
Primary 7 enjoyed a visit from Mairi and Emma from the STEM department at the UHI. This supported previous learning from the Renewable Energy topic from last term. The pupils built a model wind turbine, and then investigated the difference that the angle and number of blades made to electricity production. They also looked at how the strength of the wind changed electricity production. Lots of science in action and thoroughly engaged learners!
P3/4 and P7 teamed up on a wordy scavenger hunt around the playground, before sorting the words into the correct categories.
As part of their ‘World of Work’ topic, Primary 7 welcomed Mr Fraser of Fraser Opticals to the class today. They enjoyed hearing about his path through school, university and then into the work place. He demonstrated one of the gadgets available for looking at eyes and answered lots of questions from the class too.
Week commencing Monday 12th February will be a week of waste free packed lunches. The Eco group have instigated this challenge to the whole school to heighten the awareness of food and plastic waste that effects our environment and planet as a whole. We hope that you will support us through the week ahead by trying to have a waste free lunch.
