Telling the time! ⏰

This week we are working on Time. We have been doing lots of practical work and playing some games to help us. We found a fun Time game on Topmarks, which we played on the ChromeBooks too.

A special visit

This morning, we were lucky enough to have a visit from Lexie’s mum, Sara, who came in to talk to us about her job as an architect.

It was so interesting to see the architectural plans, and to even see the plans come to life through the help of her virtual reality headset!

Wow, it was so interesting today to hear about all the different jobs we might want to do when we grow up! We had a hotel owner, an engineer, an architect, a musician, a DJ, a construction worker, singers, an SSPCA officer, a waitress, horse riders/trainers, artists, a footballer, a cheerleader, and even a teacher!

We know we already have lots of skills that we need for these jobs, and some we might need to work on a bit more!

P4 Are Gaelic Tutors!

P4 took over the classroom this afternoon and became Gaelic tutors to our P3s! It was amazing to see how they adapted their teaching to meet their learners’ needs and how much vocabulary they were able to share. Great work! 🤩

Gardening tomorrow 🌾🌸

We will be working in the garden tomorrow morning for a short while (first thing) with Mrs Cullen. Therefore, please could the children have a jacket and possibly some boots depending on the weather.

P3/4 🎶Money Money Money🎶

We had a great time this morning looking for hidden money round The Cnoc. We were then identifying coins and categorising and making graphs before counting out different amounts in our imaginary shops. Amazing group work from the pupils in P3/4 paired with the glorious weather meant a very successful outdoor maths session today! 💴 💰 😎 Mrs MacIver is very proud ☺️

Simile detectives! 🧐

Today we were thinking about similes in writing.

We searched for similes in some text and discussed how they can create a picture in the reader’s mind.

Then we had a go at writing our own similes. We were simile superstars!
